Spaß mit Altbau am Samstag. Ein Stromkreis komplett weg, keine Sicherung geflogen, Rußfleck im Zwischenboden bei einer Zusammenkunft von Kabeln. Laut Hauswart hat die Hausverwaltung es einen Elektriker weitergegeben. Wenigstens haben Küche und Bad noch Strom, aber das war es.

Asking for a friend: how many e-mails am I allowed to send to a support-Mail address which rarely reacts? I am thinking about running a cronjob that sends a mail per hour or so…maybe I’ll get at some point an answer…

Today I got confused by incoming traffic that showed up on tcpdump and was dropped afterwards by iptables. Thus I saw the incoming traffic but not the replies from the application. Kind of feels like a shameful noob-mistake.

I just found out that there are pretty good magic tutorials in Japanese available on YouTube and not of all of them are subtitled. Suddenly a skill gets an unexpected use. But for magic I really should start to learn Spanish…
