Challenges with the children’s birthday party: some kids eat only white chocolate, other kids only helal. Well, luckily both is not so much of a problem here :)
There is a flatpack for signal-desktop. Thus it can be also used on Fedora for example
flatpak --user install --from [flathub.org/repo/apps...](https://flathub.org/repo/appstream/org.signal.Signal.flatpakref)
You cannot migrate your data from the Chrome-App though.

Hmm: „You may not: (i) modify, disassemble, decompile or reverse engineer the Mobile Software, except to the extent that such restriction is expressly prohibited by law“ #vero
Interesting: Vero declares that I own my content but I give them more or less permission to do anything with it (which they technically need for the service) but it is „irrevocable“. Thus they directly say that they will never delete my content even when I close my account.
I am getting old: I read about a new online service and instead of clicking myself directly an account, I read the Privacy Policy and the Terms of Use before I do anything else…
According to Reuters, Apple will soon move keys for Chinese users to data centers in China, so that authorities can always access them. They have to for complying with Chinese law. But this shows why we need a decentralized infrastructure independent from big corporations.
