My year in #running. There will be two runs added until the end of the year. I improved massively this year. Next year there will be a marathon I run outside of a race, the Berlin Marathon and probably my the S25 and the Nikolauslauf in Berlin. I am not sure yet about races with a shorter distance.

I lay today awoke for more than an hour thinking about which new therapy to choose after giving up Copaxone (Rebif or Vumerity). It is such a hard choice because I have no real idea how it will impact my quality of life and my running training. #ms

I’m testing a new app for #running plans to see if it is better than #trait / #twaiv It is called #Runna. The workouts a distance- and not time based. I can make plans for arbitrary distances and it has plans for strength-training and guided cooldown-stretches. It costs more but it is more complete.

Unfortunately the race didn’t went that well and I couldn’t reach my own goal of running 10km in less than 50 minutes. It wasn’t even enough for a new PR in 10k, at least a new PR for 5k. I am not sure what went wrong. I didn’t sleep well, maybe that was enough to keep my willpower back 😔 #running

Last training before the first 10k in the next 6 weeks tomorrow. I hope it paid off. In the last two months I ran more than 360kms and all the tools (#Garmin, #Trait and #Runalyze) predict a race pace that is faster than 4:40/km. Staying at 4:50/km for 10km would already be pretty awesome. #running

I got myself a #Garmin Forerunner 955 Solar to replace my Apple Watch because I tested one and it was so much better for running. Now the sensor hub is crashing regularly which leads to different problems. Reading the forums it feels to be a problemm that is not that rare.

🎉 Yes! First time 5k in under 25 minutes and a PR in 10km with 51:34. So the 10k in under 50 minutes is close. And this was a progressive run. So it should be totally doable in a couple of weeks. Even though there will be a training break of 10 days. 🎉 #running

New record: I ran 183.31 km this month. Also this month: new PR in a half-marathon new PR in 5km And those were just training runs. Next month it won’t be that much. Let’s see what the rest of the years brings. 4 races still to go :) #running

This time I registered for the “Big 5” (26.8 km). 5 laps around d the Schlachtensee. It is a small run around a lake with a lot of wood. Only a couple of hundred of runners. #running

I am reading currently Chain-Gang All-Stars by Nana Kwame Adjektiv-Brenyah. It is a great bookk, hard to put away, it sucks you in more and more. But is so depressing and it gets more depressing the further you read. I can imagine that it would make a great movie but it might loose its message.

I just tested Foundry with the DnD Beyond-importer. This is awesome! Even bringing back changes of characters to Beyond seems to work. It works great and it is so much better than Roll20 (and the VTT-stuff in Beyond). #ttrpg #dnd

The one thing you notice when you play on an old console like the SNES: no loading times! Switch it on and let’s go. And everything still works. My SNES is now more than 30 years old.

I finished “The Bezzle” by Cory Doctorow. The start was a bit slow and I didn’t know where it wanted to go, and then came the end a bit too fast and I don’t understand why one character didn’t act a bit differently. But it was a good book and I couldn’t put it away until finished. 4/5 I’d say.

I find the term “enshittification” good but its evolution to use it for everything that is not good or became crap over time and its over-use is annoying. Just because things become crap, they are not a victim of enshittification.

I finally read Altered Carbon by Richard Morgan. It was highly recommended and it is really good. Noir and cyberpunky. Even if you have seen the Netflix-series I can recommend to read it. Can’t wait to read the other two books with Takeshi Kovacs. But first “The Bezzle” by Cory Doctorow.

I registered for my next race. I think it helps me keep #running That way I have deadlines when I want to reach a certain time and have a target to train for. The next one is 25km in May (actually there is a 5.5km a couple of days before which is more a fun event) and then a 10.5km in September.

I saw today Dune Part 1 & 2 in the cinema. 1 was quite cool, 2 was ok. A bit confusing from time to timee and the time frame was too short. The book where the story needs years to develop (according to the plot in the Wikipedia) makes more sense to be honest.

I went to #dedeco today because of my son. It is an anime/manga/cosplay-convention in Dresden. It was more fun than expected. And we got a great introduction into crafting with foam and thermoplastics to build our own cosplay-things. Only a couple of cosplay-photos because my son is in the others.
