I started reading my first DnD-novel (The Legacy by Salvatore). Is it normal in DnD-novels that everybody who gets mentioned gets their race and class declared? The book starts in a drow-city and there is a drow rouge, a drow fighter, drow soldiers.

What else? It is a drow city.
